Solo Female Travel in Australia

Australia is a fantastic destination for solo travel! I love Australia and if it was easy and inexpensive to fly to the other end of the world I would go all the time!

Australia is probably the # 1 country that people tell me they want to visit. Many people consider Australia as a” one day ” destination, wanting to visit, but deterred by the long, expensive journey to get there. And I’m not going to lie — Australia is not a trip you can casually plan on a whim. For most people, this will require careful savings and careful planning.

But it’s worth it. IT’s worth it.

And for this reason, I urge you not to save Australia for “one day.”One day you may not be able to travel the way you can now. Do not postpone it too long.

I traveled to Australia with others and traveled to Australia alone. Australia is a particularly good destination for solo travellers and this travel guide will give you an insight into how to stay safe in this unforgettable country.

Why travel alone to Australia?

Australia is an easy country to visit, which also has a high exotic factor. Australia is infinitely interesting. The fauna is unique in its kind. Nature is crazy. And the cities are just different enough that they feel a little shifted-in the best way.

If you have never been to Australia, you have never seen the most beautiful beaches in the world. It’s almost embarrassing to see how good the beaches are, from white sand mastodons in Western Australia and Queensland to beautiful city beaches in Sydney. Nothing you’ve seen has prepared you for it.

In addition, you probably dreamed of visiting Australia even as a child! Isn’t it time to realize your childhood dreams?

After all, as a solo traveler, you have so many options in Australia. Would you like to participate in a group tour? Go! Want to be part of a hop-on hop-off bus? It works too! Want to take a solo road trip in the Outback? Difficult, but you can remove them when you are alone! Whether you want to meet people or be solo, are interested in cities or the outdoors, prefer tourist areas or are off the beaten track, you can find so much to do as a solo traveler in Australia

Is Australia good for solo travelers for the first time?

Australia is a wonderful destination for solo travelers for the first time. Australia has some of the best travel infrastructure in the world: everywhere is equipped for travelers. English is the spoken language and Australians are incredibly friendly and helpful. The only sign against Australia is that it is an expensive country, which becomes a bit painful if you don’t share the cost with someone.

Of course, not all trips to Australia are the same — if it’s your first solo trip, I wouldn’t recommend going extremely off the beaten track, such as going solo in the outback. Driving in Australia requires its own skills, unless you stick to extremely well-traversed areas. You can see more about driving in Australia below.

But for the vast majority of trips to Australia, especially if driving is not a factor, it is very easy to travel.

Group tours to Australia

If you are nervous about traveling to Australia on your own, you should join a group tour. You will meet a lot of people and all the work will be taken care of for you!

G Adventures, with whom I have traveled and which I recommend, offers several tours in Australia. Here are some of their bestsellers:

The best of Australia – 14 days, Cairns to Sydney

Outback to the Top End – 14 days from Adelaide to Darwin

Queensland Sand, Sailing and Dreamtime – 12 days, from Brisbane to Cairns

Australia complete-28 days, Melbourne to Cairns

Is Australia good for experienced lonely travelers?
Absolutely, Australia is great for experienced lonely travelers. I had already visited more than 40 countries before coming to Australia and was thrilled in every way.

If you are already an experienced solo traveler, you probably have other interests than a beginner. You might be drawn to hiking and culinary exploration in Tasmania or exploring the most inaccessible areas of Kimberley. Again, you may simply want to make the classic route to Sydney, Melbourne and the Queensland coast. It’s a cliché for a reason.

I spent time in two regions of Australia that are more difficult to travel: Western Australia and Northern Territory. If you drive alone in the rural areas of these states, you should consider the following driving tips. Driving can be deadly in the outback, so make sure you take all possible precautions.
